Megan Julienne

Honoree:  Megan Julienne

Honored by:  Alzheimer’s Family Services Center

Cause Area:  Senior Services

Megan has been with the Alzheimer’s Family Services Center (AFSC) since January 2014 and has donated over 160 hours thus far. She connected with our early-stage Dementia group, New Connections Club, through VITAS Healthcare where she helped to establish a weekly gardening club. This program allows for collaboration between the members of that group to collectively grow fruits, vegetables, and herbs. She has fostered relationships and a positive environment for our patients for which we cannot express enough gratitude.

  1. Congratulations, Megan! I am very happy to see you being recognized for all your hard work. It’s amazing to see how much our gardening club has evolved! We haven’t only grown in size, but everyone has enjoyed cooking with the vegetables and herbs that they grew themselves. Our participants are always looking forward to your arrival and to see what they will get to learn from you. You’ve taught us how to make beautiful snowflakes, delicious recipes, and tips on how to have the perfect tomato plant. Thank you for making all of the participants feel special and appreciated. They always tell me how good the group makes them feel about themselves. What you do is for them is priceless, and we are so grateful. Thank you!
