Leen Alabed

Honored by:  Wells Fargo

Each of the events Leen Alabed participated in during 2016 had a great impact on the community. Whether it  was a beach clean-up, building a house for a veteran or organizing a welcoming event for refugees and helping them understand their duties in a new country and immersing in a new culture, Leen gives each event her all.  She’s packed clothing to send in containers to refugee camps during harsh winters, packing food in hundreds and thousands of boxes to be distributed to less fortunate families during the fasting month or right before Thanksgiving.  She joined in the One OC KaBoom Community Build day to help build parks with playgrounds for children to grow in a kid friendly environment that promotes playtime for children.alabed_leen-wells-fargo2

She stuffs backpacks with school supplies for students in less fortunate community schools, and works hard as Elves in Santa’s workshop for CAPC to get presents ready to be picked up by the Reindeer who’ll be delivering them the next day to the families graciously awaiting with a big smile and tears of joy! She is truly a proud, hardworking and energetic volunteer and we are delighted to honor her today.
