What do you get when you combine intelligence, business savvy, humor, kindness, humility, and a giving heart?  At Western Digital, we call him Gary Meister.

Gary is no stranger to OneOC, having served as a member of the OneOC Board of Directors for six years — three two-year terms from 2011 – 2016.  Term limits have him cycling out this year, but we expect that won’t slow him down one bit.  Gary, a member of Western Digital’s Executive Leadership team, is always among the first to ask, “How can I help?”   It is just who he is.

Gary has played a pivotal role in the re-design of the Company’smeister_gary-western-digital-3 Community Relations and Foundation programs over the past year.  He is a leader among leaders-always encouraging others in the Board Room to support community and corporate philanthropy. His corporate blog often references volunteer events and Gary is always sure to highlight and praise volunteerism.

You’ll often see Gary’s smiling face at employee volunteer events such as Stop Hunger Now food packaging, or planting seedlings to preserve the environment.  But what many don’t see is the guy behind the scenes who always makes sure all of the wishes for the Holiday toy drive are filled.  All without fanfare.

We see you, Gary.  And we thank you!
